Spring Seedling Sale 2021
Welcome to the Spring 2021 Seedling Sale for Bush Poppy Farm. We’ve tenderly raised a bunch of farm fresh seedlings ready for your garden or even a patio. In the future, our seedling sale will take place right here on the farm but due to COVID, we’re offering pre-order and contactless pick up.
Simply peruse the seedling options over in the Farm Shop, place your order, and then pick them up during our pick up window: Saturday and Sunday, March 20 and 21, between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Seedlings are in 4” pots, are already hardened off and ready to go into your garden or patio. On pick up day, your order will be labeled with your name and ready for contactless pick up at our home address. That information will be provided in your confirmation email.
Seedlings are $4.00 each and have been grown from seed, free of pesticides, and in organic compost. Scroll down to see the varieties we have to offer. Click on the heading for each category to go directly to the store page and make your purchase.
Be sure to sign up for our newsletter so you can be notified of events and flower and seedling sales as they come up.
Oregon Spring is a medium sized, early and cold tolerant tomato. Averages 6-8 oz fruits and will be first to mature for early harvest. Compact habit but will need staking or caging.
Martha Washington is an heirloom quality pink slicing tomato. Globe shaped pink fruit weighing from 8-12 oz. Staking or caging required.
Veranda Hybrid is a great container cherry tomato and needs only 1 square foot of growing space. It’s perfect for your patio or sunny deck. You’ll get loads of consistent harvest this summer from this compact plant.
Paisano, Roma Tomato produces thick walled 4-5 oz San Marzano type fruits. Good flavor and high solids for canning and sauce making. Determinate variety and will require staking or caging.
Costa Rican Sweet Pepper is a fruity, sweet pepper with crisp, sweet flesh perfect fresh or cooked. Try it grilled for amazing flavor. Wait until the skin is deep red and about 6 inches long before harvesting.
Jalepano Traveler is an heirloom variety with cylindrical fruits growing to 3 inches. Peppers ripen from green to bright red.
These Lincoln Peas are a high yielding variety with sweet, tender flavor. Great for eating fresh, freezing or canning. Each 4-5 inch pod holds 6-9 tender peas. Will grow about 30” high and will require staking.
Mars Landing. Tender leaves are bronzy purple/maroon color with light green underneath and notched and scalloped edges. Tender and mild tasting, this variety holds well in the garden without getting tough and stringy.
Dazzling Blue. This is a cold hardy dinosaur kale producing large blue-green leaves with purple pink veins in the middle. Comes with the classic Lacinato taste and tenderness. Ideal raw or cooked.
Basil Pesto Party. A flowering basil letting you enjoy tons of fresh picked, aromatic leaves deep into the season. Late to bolt, these guys also fight off downy mildew very well.
Basil, San Remo. An improved Genovese basil, matching in flavor and aroma but exceeding in harvest period and shelf life. Intense flavor is ideal for pesto.
Sage. Fresh or dried, use these leaves to season sausage, poultry, meat, dressings and more. Herbs are easy to grow and work great in containers in a small sunny space.
Thyme. My favorite herb to use in nearly everything both fresh and dried. As with all herbs, easy to care for in a pot on a sunny windowsill.
